چکیده
The work presented in this article attempts to evaluate the effect of partial and full substitution silica sand by fine recycled waste glass (RG) M45 engineered cementitious composites. Two groups with a total eight mixtures were prepared 2% or without untreated polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) fibers. Each group included four RG ratios 0, 30, 60, 100%. compressive strength flexural all tested at ages 7, 28, 90 days. test results showed that influence was different for plain specimens from those PVA For specimens, incorporation mostly increased mature 28 days, while positive not trend 7 days age. On other hand, had most cases negative impact on reinforced short

Engineered Cementitious Composites
This paper overviews Engineered Cementitious Composites (ECC) as an emerging construction material. Emphasis is placed on the accumulated knowledge on durability, safety, and sustainability of reinforced ECC (R/ECC) structures, recognizing that the concrete of the future must meet these characteristics. In light of recent and future full-scale field applications of ECC, the limited studies on l...
متن کاملRheology, fiber dispersion, and robust properties of Engineered Cementitious Composites
The capability of processing robust Engineered Cementitious Composites (ECC) materials with consistent mechanical properties is crucial for gaining acceptance of this new construction material in various structural applications. ECC’s tensile strainhardening behavior and magnitude of tensile strain capacity are closely associated with fiber dispersion uniformity, which determines the fiber brid...
متن کاملHygral Behavior of Engineered Cementitious Composites (ECC)
In this paper, the sorption isotherm and the hygral deformation of a tensile strain-hardening fiber reinforced engineered cementitious composite (ECC) is described using a physical model. The influence of using a low alkali content Portland cement on the physical mechanisms of drying shrinkage is discussed. From a durability point of view the crack width of a material as a result of restrained ...
متن کاملUtilization of recycled post consumer carpet waste fibers as reinforcement in lightweight cementitious composites
Purpose – A large amount of post-consumer carpet waste is discarded into landfills. The need to recycle this waste is increasing due to the lack of available landfill spaces in many parts of the world, environmental concerns, and resource conservation. The purpose of this paper is to explore the use of this waste for a low-cost, high-volume application. Design/methodology/approach – Fibers from...
متن کاملInvestigation of Mechanical Properties of Lithium-Based Geopolymer Composites Reinforced with Basalt Fibers
Recently, geopolymer binders have been considered because of low cost, simple processes for synthesis and many raw materials in nature. Geopolymer with brittle nature does not have high strength and cannot be used alone for structural materials. Therefore, to use in different structures, the composite which is reinforced with fibers such as carbon, glass, basalt, etchasbeen used. In this resear...
